About the author and the blog

I have been playing Diplomacy for many years now and most recently started playing on Playdiplomacy.com.

I have written a number of articles in the past and am currently working on two books about the online game.

One of these books is called 50 Tips for Playing Better Diplomacy and is, well, a book featuring fifty tips for playing better Diplomacy.

The second (actually the first from the point of view of when I started writing it) is called Across the Whole Board: How to play DIplomacy adequately. It is about playing Diplomacy online with at least a certain degree of ability.

This blog, The Diplomaticon, is meant to be a commentary about Diplomacy and play. As you might have realised, from the fact that I’m writing about the game, I’m pretty opinionated about the game. There are right ways and wrong ways to approach it. You’re free to disagree or agree with me – I’m not really worried about it and I’m not apologetic about my opinions.
